The newest article I've written in my new Inc.com column, Girl Power: Female CEOs, is "When Business Gets Emotional". On this 4th of July, take some time and read how some women just can't seem to get over it. Cheers!
Earlier this year VerticalResponse signed on as the lead sponsor for StartupNation’s “Leading Moms in Business”
competition, because let’s face it, being a woman in business presents
its own hurdles. Hence this column. Add kids, and there’s a whole host
of other challenges women face. So, hats off to the 200 women selected
– and Happy Mother’s Day!
First of all, I'm pretty excited and flattered because Inc.com has chosen me to have my own new column called Girl Power: Female CEOs. I have to admit, I've been pretty controversial in some of the articles including this one, but it's only because of some real experiences I've had on the journey. The latest is a good read; "Business Development, Is It a Boy's Club?" It's meant to show the reality of how far we've come, but how far women have yet to go. And there's nothing better than great men to support us and help take us there. Enjoy!
I've got a few friends I don't necessarily agree with when it comes to a hiring strategy. This month for Inc.com's Women in Business I've written about my thoughts on the timing of hiring great employees in the life of a business. Who needs March Madness when you can sit back and read this? Kidding, I'm doing great in my brackets!
I write an article for Inc.com's Women in Business Section every few months. This month has me thinking about how tough it is to hire great people and how I think every company needs to be treating a new employee. Check it out.
Summertime got you with extra time on your hands? I have an idea! Forget Harry Potter! Why not curl up with my monthly column for the Inc.com Women in Business section entitled Hiring & Retaining Good Employees. Happy reading!
