    Thanks this sounds like great advice. Do you know in percentage terms how many non-responders can be "converted" i.e is it really worth the extra effort?..

    Hi Salina,
    If you are using VerticalResponse you can simply download your list of nonresponders by going in your account under Sent emails - Reports - Download Lists - All nonresponders and voila! you have your list.

    Sorry if this is a bit basic, but how do I find the non-responders in the list - is there some sort of filter I can apply to find them easily?

    I have been reading your post for more than a year now and this has to be one of the best tips on retaining customers for e-mail marketing I have read in a while. The fact of customers changing their e-mail addresses is certainly a factor than can not go ignored and continuing follow ups is another great one to keep them interested.
