    Cool idea!!!

Keep it relative; I've seen many sites try this, but are only littered with profit-only oriented co-registrations!

If, for instance, I'm going to the New York Times (NYT) site, I'd like to see news related co-registrations. Yes, the NYT reviews books, movies, and other consumer related things, but who is your primary audience? NEWS-Readers! If it's not relative, try something different.

In most instances, too, sites try to get users to co-register on the same step they must supply their user info. (Hint: Nothing drives me away from a site faster than that.) Your site may lose credibility with your users by asking too early.

Some sites are sophisticated enough to share the co-registration data without violating privacy policies. (I don't have to re-key any data.) Kudos to those developers.

That's a great idea. Does anybody know any company that would be willing to pay for such a thing?
