Great tips for SELLING - How about coming up with a list for those of us who are Non-Profits and NEED Donations! Or need to sell our "full retail" or "slightly overpriced" products to raise funds for that non-profit. How do we get someone to hit the donate Now button?

Great ideas. One thing we do is try to "partner" with our customers. Making sure we know what they need and promoting that aspect. Appeal to the customer need, not what you are selling they will buy it rather than you selling them on it.

As a copywriter, I was taught that FREE is one of the most powerful words, but in recent times with SPAM filters and such, I have steered away from this term in e-marketing. I noticed several of your call-to-actions still contained the word "free"... Was I wrong to abandon it?

This gives me a great idea on marketing my Loan Modification software. I always want to consult with homeowners before they purchase to make sure they are a good Loan Modification candidate before they buy. Sometimes I find that another strategy works better for them. However, I have promoted a free consultation enough to give customers a sense of comfort. I need to draft some sales copy that promotes the free consultation. Thanks for the idea!
