I was handed a card by one of our customers one day, Birdy Botanicals. What a great idea, contact information on the front and a 25% discount off my next purchase if I sign up for the
newsletter on the back.
What are you doing with your business cards? Got any ideas to share?

We developed a business card that had a spot on the back for "great ideas:". Then when we talk to people and we come up with a great idea we write it down for them and give them the card and let them know if they need help with their great idea to give us a ring. TIP: don't celloglaze or gloss cover the back of the card as it makes it too hard to write on.

So how does Birdy track which customers get the discount after a party joins the list?

This is a very good idea.
You should also include an email address or URL to tell subscribers where to go to sign up.

Yes good idea. Also, putting a calendar on the back of your card can be great if you regularly make appts with your clients, but also encourages people to retain your card and use it frequently - getting more bang for your buck, so to speak!

Keep the marketing tips coming! We implemented the email newsletter sign up link on every page of our website and we already have a dozen people sign up that just casually stopped by to check us out. I am going to add a $10 off next purchase coupon to the back our business card if they visit our website and signup for our newsletter.

This is a great idea. Because it can be used as an offline effort that will help drive web traffic. www.businesscardtobusiness.com
